The Vision Academy strikes a balance between industrial requirements and the teaching/training at universities in order to ensure enough practical work in the training.
The teaching materials prepared by the Vision Academy are in the form of product-neutral PowerPoint presentations suitable for practical and comprehensive training in the multi-disciplinary technology of Machine Vision. Knowledge from the overlapping subject areas of optics, light and lighting technology, computer science, electronics, mechanics, communication and automation technology is all brought together and interdisciplinary thinking is encouraged, exactly as the operational practice of engineers and skilled workers demands.
Teaching materials tested in real practical applications are available in all the courses offered by the Vision Academy. In addition, further topics of practical relevance can be offered on request.
Many university libraries and training centres today have the ‘Lexikon der Industriellen Bildverarbeitung’ (‘The encyclopaedia of industrial Machine Vision’ - only available in german at present) from the Vision Academy available. "The ‘Lexikon der Industriellen Bildverarbeitung' really has the potential to become a standard work." (quotation from ‘Elektronik 8/2004’). |
